Fresh Fruit Popsicles
Celebrate July 4th or any summertime gathering with my three-layer fresh fruit popsicles! These 100% fruit pops are a great way to cool down and get in your fruit servings for the day. Both kids and adults love them!
I use reusable molds, an inexpensive summer essential, for sweet, healthy treats. Of course, you can make your pops with one, two or three layers all summer long!
This is also a fun project to make with your little ones. It shows them that sweets can be natural and delicious without added sugar or chemicals. Make these together then compare your treats against the ingredient labels of store bought popsicles. It’s a fun, educational way to plant seeds for healthy eating habits!
Ingredients
Red Layer
1 c fresh strawberries (trimmed)
1/8 c water
½ banana
White Layer
1 c fresh pineapple (cut up)
½ banana
Blue Layer
1 c fresh blueberries
1/8 c water
½ banana
Instructions
Combine ingredients for the first layer in a blender and blend until smooth. Put aside in a small pitcher or measuring pour cup. Rinse out blender and repeat for the next two layers. Set up popsicles molds. Pour one inch of first layer in each mold, repeat for second and third layers. Secure tops on the molds but do not mix or shake. Place in freezer for at least three hours. Remember you can always mix and match flavors and colors! Makes 6 popsicles.
