Chocolate Hummus

Hummus is a staple of the Mediterranean diet and now you can make it a sweet treat! This dip allows you to enjoy a rich fruit dip without the added refined sugars. Just another sweet you can feel good about eating and serving!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed)

  • ¼ c maple syrup

  • 3 T unsweetened cacao powder

  • ¼ c almond butter

  • 1 t salt

  • 3 T water

Instructions

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and blend on high. Scrape walls of processor and continue blending for several minutes until mixture is smooth. Add additional water if needed to get desired consistency. Serve with fresh fruit.
