Gluten-Free Almond Breakfast Granola
A take-home gift is the perfect way to end a perfect dinner. Plus it will be an added expression of warmth and affection for your guests!
This homemade take on breakfast granola is quick to whip together and full of tasty, good-for-you ingredients. It’s ideal for sprinkling on yogurt or just snacking on by the handful. Oh, and did I mention that it’s gluten-free?
Ingredients
½ cup almond butter (I love Justin’s made right here in Boulder!)
½ cup pure honey
2 t vanilla
1 T cinnamon
3 cups gluten free rolled oats
1 cup golden raisins
1 cup sliced almonds
½ raw sunflower seeds
¼ cup cacao chips (optional)
Instructions
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl until well blended. Add oats and stir until wet ingredients are completely mixed in with the oats. Spread evenly on a baking sheet. Bake at 300° for 15 minutes. After 10 minutes, turn the granola. When done, let oats sit until cooled. Place in a large bowl and add almonds, raisins, and sunflower seeds. If you want to make the granola sweeter you can add ¼ c cacao chips. Mix together and place in individual containers.
I use 8-ounce clear jars. Fill them up with granola; tie a ribbon along with a label around the lid. Voila!
