Do-It-Yourself Bath Salts

Do-It-Yourself Bath Salts

As many of you may know, I like presenting the guests that sit at my table with a small take-home gift as a memento of a special gathering. And what better way to celebrate an occasion than with a gift of self-care?

My do-it-yourself bath salts encourage rest and relaxation. I chose lavender because this scent is known for promoting a good night's sleep and soothing muscle aches and pains. But, these salts can be done in many different aromas and colors.

Package your DIY salts to give away but be sure to keep a batch for yourself! A warm, relaxing tub with my manuka honey face mask is the ideal way to unwind. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ c Epsom salts

  • ½ c sea salt

  • ¼ c baking soda

  • 30 drops (+) lavender essential oil

  • 10 soap coloring drops (I used purple)

  • Small jars for packaging (I get mine at Hobby Lobby)

TIP: You can use different types of essential oils and different colors. You choose!

Instructions

Mix together the salts and baking soda. Add oil and coloring. Mix thoroughly and massage in with hands. Portion into glass jars with tightly fitting lids and store in a dry area.
